Tender analysis in Kenya: every requirement read, checked against your documents and cited to its page

Upload a Kenyan tender and get an expert analysis report: each requirement cited to its page, what you meet, what is missing, and a bid or no-bid view.

Last reviewed October 2026

What it is
A written report on one tender: every requirement, criterion and bill item, cited to the page it came from, checked against your vault and firm profile.
Who it is for
Any firm deciding whether to bid, and any firm that has decided and needs to know exactly what to send.
How it is paid
Included in the plans that carry the bid desk; available on a pay-per-tender bid package otherwise.
Turnaround
The turnaround we work to is shown on your desk when you upload; a tender closing soon is read first.
Delivered by
Tendakazi's analysts, with AI drafting the first read.

What the service covers

A tender document in Kenya can run to two hundred pages, and the parts that decide a bid are scattered through it: the mandatory requirements at preliminary evaluation, the technical criteria and their marks, the financial evaluation rules, the forms to sign, the bid security, the submission method and the closing time.

Tender analysis turns that document into one report. Each requirement is listed with the page and the words it came from, marked as met, missing or unclear against the documents in your vault, and given an instruction: what to send, what to fix, or which service closes the gap. The report ends with a view on whether the tender is worth bidding.

When you need it

  • Before you buy documents, book a site visit or commit staff to a bid you may not qualify for
  • When a tender has a long list of mandatory requirements and one missed item means disqualification
  • When the evaluation is scored and you want to know where the marks are before you write
  • When an addendum has changed the requirements and you need to know what moved

What we need from you

The tender document, uploaded from your desk or attached to a tracked tender notice, and a vault that reflects what your firm actually holds. The analysis checks requirements against the vault, so a current CR12, Tax Compliance Certificate and the rest make the report more useful.

How it works, step by step

  • Upload the tender. The bid opens at once and the document goes to our analysts.
  • AI drafts the first read: requirements, criteria, bill items and the evaluation rules, each with its source page and quote.
  • An analyst checks the draft against the document and against your vault, writes the reason for every gap and the action to take, and publishes the report.
  • You see the report on the bid page: blockers first, then everything else, each with where it came from.
  • Send evidence for each requirement from the bid page; the analyst accepts it or returns it with a note until the bid is ready.

What it costs

Analysis is part of the plans that include the bid desk, within the number of tenders the plan allows each month. A firm without a plan can buy it for one tender as part of a bid package, quoted before payment and paid by M-Pesa. Analysis credits extend the monthly allowance when a busy season needs it.

Mistakes it prevents

  • Bidding on a tender your NCA class, AGPO category or turnover cannot meet
  • Missing a requirement buried in the special conditions or an addendum
  • Submitting a document that is valid today but expires before the bid validity ends
  • Pricing a bill whose arithmetic rules or VAT treatment you misread

How it fits the rest of Tendakazi

Every gap in the report links to the service that closes it: a statutory renewal, a bid bond, a technical proposal, bid compilation. The readiness score on the bid page comes from the same report, and nothing can be marked ready while a blocker stands.

Questions

Is the report written by AI?

AI drafts the first read; an analyst checks every item against the document and your vault before anything is published. You only ever see the analyst's report.

Can I run the analysis myself?

No. Analysis is a service we provide. You upload; we read, check and publish.

What if the tender is amended?

Upload or track the addendum and the report is updated. Requirements that changed are marked, and the bid cannot be marked ready until the addendum is acknowledged.

Does the report tell me whether to bid?

It gives a bid or no-bid view with the reasons, and a readiness score. The decision stays yours.

How soon will I have it?

The turnaround we work to is shown on your desk. Tenders closing soonest are read first; tell us if yours closes in days.

Upload a tender and we read it for you.
